Sand Cove Campground is within the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area
which was created “to conserve, protect, and enhance …the ecological,
scenic, wildlife, recreational, cultural, historical, natural, educational, and
scientific resources” and to protect habitat for the endangered desert
tortoise.
Regulations
Group size limit is 30 people
Camping is limited to 7 consecutive days.
Each group must provide their own portable toilet facilities.
Do not bury human waste.
Do not pick up or disturb tortoise or other wildlife.
Dead and down fire wood gathering is prohibited.
Fires must be in established fire rings.
Follow all fire restrictions.
Adhere to “Leave No Trace” practices. Pack it in, Pack it out.
Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.
All ATVs must stay on designated roads.
