Directions
You Will Need:
String
Dowel Rod
72 small metal washers
Button Magnet
To Assemble Your Activity:
Print the activity on cardstock. Be sure to print one-
sided to two-sided
Laminate the pages if desired
Cut out each fish and glue a washer on the backside
of the card near the nose
Glue the magnet on the end of the string
Tie and glue the string on the end of the dowel rod
Teaching Directions:
This activity contains 36 rhyming pairs. You may choose to
limit the amount of pairs each time you play this game. Scatter
the fish on the table or floor. Have the students catch two fish
using the fishing pole and then name each picture.
If the
words rhyme, they can keep the fish. If the words do not
rhyme, the fish must be thrown back. The student with the
most fish at the end of the game wins.
