Pirate Treasure Hunt
Instructions for Parents/Hosts:
Make copies of the bottom half of this sheet. Cut out strips of the clues from number 2 through 5 and
hide in their appropriate place. Remember that clue 5 leads to the final location where the "treasure"
should be hidden! Kids get the top half of the sheet with instructions and first clue.
Clue Answer Key:
1. Swimming pool (indoor or outdoor)
2. Flag
3. Jewelry box
4. Cracker box or in cupboard where crackers are kept
5. Garage, near family vehicle
Pirate Treasure Hunt Clues
Find each clue by solving the hint given. Once you figure out the area where the first clue leads, hunt
around to find the next clue. Continue until you reach the treasure at the end.
Remember, each clue has something to do with pirates!
1. Arrg, mateys! It's time to search for treasure! Find the next clue near deep water. You won't
have to walk the plank, but you may need to wear your swimsuit!
2. Other boats know a pirate ship by this flapping in the wind, high above the boat.
3. Precious stones and gems are what a pirate loves to find in this type of "treasure chest."
4. Parrots eat these delicious treats when sitting on a pirate's shoulder.
5. A pirate's ship hides in coveys, but the treasure is where your transportation hides.
