Distance Around a Plane Figure
The perimeter of a simple closed curve is the distance around the figure. In
a regular polygon, it is the sum of the lengths of its sides.
To find the perimeter of a
regular polygon like in the
examples shown below, add
together the lengths of all
of the sides of the figure.

Perimeter: 4cm + 4cm + 4cm = 12cm
