VCP Sponsorship Request Form

Each paver has up to three lines of text and no more than 20 characters per line including

spaces and punctuation. Only the initial letter will be capitalized (upper case), for example: Bill

Smith not BILL SMITH. The branch of service along with most abbreviated ranks/rates will be all

capitalized. If your abbreviated rank/rate has a mixture of some upper and lower case letters,

please indicate. If you abbreviate your rank/rate on the second line, there are some spaces to

add other information about your service, for example: Medic, 101

Airborne, Purple Heart,

CCT, etc. Inscription will be engraved on paver as submitted to the MPCA and will

automatically be centered. Please adjust the name to fit the allotted spaces.

Placement of the paver in the VCP Circle of Honor is not determined by the veteran’s military

branch of service. Instead, it is placed according to the date it was purchased and received.

The placement of the paver begins at the center of the circle and spirals outward. Each of the

five branches/sections in the Circle of Honor will have veterans from all services (i.e. a Navy

paver may be potentially placed in the Army section). This placement symbolizes that all

military services are working together to support the flag.

Example Layout for Veteran Paver:

First Line - Name: John Smith

Second Line - Rank/Rate: Sergeant

Third Line - Branch of Service * and Dates of Service: USA 1959-1963

*USA, USMC, USN, USAF, USCG, USMM, USAAC, AZANGB, AZAFNGB (State abbreviation, A or

AF, National Guard Bureau). MIA: Service, year entered – MIA (USN 1965-MIA); KIA: Service,

KIA, date KIA (USMC KIA 11-12-1968); POW: Service, years served in military POW (USAF 1965-

1976 POW); Active Military: Service, year entered, dash (USA 2009 - ).

Example Layout for Pathway Paver: No advertisement will be accepted. Only names of family,

business or organization along with a respectful message may be engraved.
