Junior School Laptop Use Agreement

1. I acknowledge that I have received a School Laptop and understand this Laptop belongs to Pymble

Ladies’ College. This Laptop was tested before I took it out and that I am res ponsible for any loss or

damage to the equipment while it is on loan to me.

2. I will take care of the Laptop and will operate in accordance with instructions given by the staff at

Pymble Ladies’ College and I acknowledge that I agree with the school rules and policies as stated

in the Student Technology Policy.

3. I understand that I am not to make any permanent markings on the laptop, carry bag, or any of its

associated accessories and will be charged for any necessary replacement items. I understand that if

the Laptop is damaged, I will return it to Pymble Ladies ' College immediately for repair.

4. The laptops are protected against accidental damage and loss protection through protection care

offered by the suppliers. I agree to pay the excess fee for any claim that is required for the laptop

supplied to me by the College. The normal excess for accidental damage repair is $100 and for

physical loss due to theft the excess is also $100. Please refer to the Damage and Theft Exce ss

Explanation and Laptop Protection Tips available on the Technology Programme website.

5. I understand that the Information Technology Department will do regular audits on all laptops and

any damage found may be fixed and the cost of the repair charged to my account.

6. I understand that I am responsible for the security of the laptop and must never leave the laptop

unattended and unsecured, both inside and outside of the school. If leaving the laptop in a locker,

the locker must be locked securely.

7. I understand that I will be informed in the c ase where a damage/loss claim has been made and I will

be informed of the amount that is t o be charged to my account. Where a claim is rejected by the

supplier the full cost of repair or replac ement will be charged to my school account.
