WAIVER OF LIABILITY
I acknowledge that I am entering the Pima County Adult Detention Complex of my own free will.
I recognize that the jail houses dangerous prisoners, and that by entering the jail I may be
subjected to lewd behavior or gestures, verbal abuse, physical attack and injury. By signing this
Waiver of Liability, I affirm that I knowingly agree to assume these risks, and will be subject to
the same rules and security measures that apply to all Adult Detention Complex employees.
In compliance with the Privacy and Security Act of 1977, I agree not to release any regulated
information gained while within the Adult Detention Complex

Appropriate Attire for the Corrections Setting
The appearance of volunteers or visitors is very important in the correctional setting. The
appearance sets the tone for interaction with inmates and the manner in which inmates will
respond to you.
You will be required to dress in a business like manner, just as you would be expected to if your
workplace were a professional setting. Extremely short (s) or suggestive clothing, low necklines
and jeans are not generally acceptable. If you are a contractor, you are expected to wear your
company uniform and insignias.
Passes must be visible at all times and shown when asked by a staff member. If you have any

Contraband
Contraband is any item that is not authorized or permitted inside the jail, or in the possession of
inmates. You are not permitted to bring ANY item into the jail for an inmate, or to carry any item
out of the jail for an inmate. Prohibited items include but are not limited to pocket knives, glass,
metal, PDA’s, cutting devices, cell phones, caustic substances, tobacco products, candy/gum,
flame producing devices or weapons of any kind.
