Background Check
PA Law (Act 34, 1985) “... shall require prospective employees to submit with their employment application a report of
criminal history record information from the PA State Police or a statement from the PA State Police that the State Police
Central Repository contains no such information relating to that person.” Also PA Law (Act 151) requires a Pennsylvania
Child Abuse History Clearance be obtained from the Department of Public Welfare. All applicants will submit a report of
FBI criminal history record (Act 114) through the PA Department of Education.
