Remember, every chord can be "octave flipped.” This will give you twice as many chords to play! (See page ...)
Practice switching from one chord to the next by playing as smooth as possible. Try to eliminate any stopping or gaps
in between each chord. This type of playing is called "legato."
Practice changing from one chord to the next within a specific range of frets. For example, play the D major through
C# Diminished chords by only using the first three frets of your dulcimer. Then play all the chords with only the second
through fifth frets of your dulcimer. You will learn the neck of your dulcimer quicker and your playing will seem much
soother because you will learn to play your instrument more efficiently. (Look below)
