GOURMET TO GO INSTRUCTIONS

This is a great way to cook your favorite dish so someone else can enjoy it, buy dishes from other families

and also help the school raise funds. All food donations go to directly to our wonderful school and are TAX

Deductible.

If you don’t cook, you can purchase and freeze a to-go item from your favorite restaurant or deli.

When you decide what you will prepare please complete and return the GTG sign up sheet or email Jen

Danker or Beth Enrich with the details. We need the sign ups ahead of time so that they can be entered

online for pre-sale opportunity!

Deliver your food donation during drop-off and pick-up at the school on THURSDAY November 5

and

FRIDAY November 6

Instructions if you cook:

Prepare and then freeze your delicious item. Make sure you label and date your frozen items with your name,

the item name, number of servings, detailed ingredients (to prevent problems with food allergies) and include

any special defrosting/reheating instructions. Disposable Containers ONLY!! LABELS will be provided if

needed).

Suggestions: Soup, Salsa’s, Ravioli’s, Enchilada’s, Quiche, Tamales, Dip’s, some families make 4 soups or 2

pans of lasagna for example.

You can also consider doing a Gourmet to Go Theme Package, which includes designing a menu and multi

course meal that follows a particular theme. Your unique Package should have a Personalized Name and

could include any combination of appetizers, entrees, a few side dishes, dessert—even wine or liqueurs—

make it special since prices will range from $40-$100+ depending on what is included.

Suggestions: Persian feast basket, Mexican fiesta, Greek Feast, Italian Feast, Wine and Cheese basket with

glasses. No limits on creative personalized packages.

Instructions if you don’t cook: Purchase and freeze a to-go item from your favorite restaurant.

Suggestions: Bay Cities Deli, Thyme Market, Joan’s on Third, La Brea Bakery, Ben and Jerry Ice Cream

Cakes etc.

Have Local Relationships: help us contact restaurants or caterers for food donations or gift certificate

donations. (If your family goes to the same restaurant regularly, ask for a school donation) ALL TAX

DEDUCTIBLE.
