THE MUSICAL ALPHABET
There are 7 note names in music. We assign these note names letters from
the alphabet. They are:
A B C D E F G
Once we run out at G, we start at A again. So really it looks something like
this:
A B C D E F G A B C D E F G A B C D E F G A B C D E F G A B C D E F G A B
C D E F G A B C D E F G....and so on.
Just Keep in Mind the Musical Alphabet. Try Reciting it Forwards AND
Backwards! (It Will Help You Read Music Later On)

SAYING "TOO"

We have to use our tongue when playing the recorder because it allows us to start notes. If we didn't use our tongue, it
would sound like a huge run together mess. So practice saying the word "too" and you will get the correct tongue technique
to produce notes on the recorder.
