FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERSHIP YEAR 2015-2016
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania is committed to supporting individual girls for membership and troop
activities. Financial assistance is awarded so that we may meet the needs of as many girls as possible.
Financial Aid is available to Individual Girls:
GSUSA Membership Dues:
$15.00
Troop Dues:
$25.00 maximum
Shop Components as follows:
 Sash, Vest or Tunic
$25.75 maximum (prices range based on level & size)
 Girl Scout Insignia as follows: $14.50 maximum
o Council ID - $5.00
o Flag Patch - $2.00
o Troop Numbers (up to 5) - $1.50 each
 Journey Book
$7.00

General
 Financial assistance is awarded on a sliding scale, based on income and the requested criteria on the
front of this form. Please complete the information accurately.
 Incomplete or unsigned applications will be returned. Financial assistance is awarded until funds are
exhausted. Incomplete forms delay processing so be sure to fill out all required information, sign the form,
and submit it with your proof of income and complete/signed membership registration form if applicable to
ensure timely consideration and processing.
 Proof of income must be attached. Do not send original documentation, it will not be returned. To protect
your privacy, all proof of income documentation will be destroyed after verification.
 If you are also applying for membership financial aid, the complete/signed financial aid form must be
attached to the complete/signed membership registration form. If you wish to pay for your membership
and just apply for troop dues and/or shop components, please register online at
Shop Certificates
 Shop certificates are redeemable at GSEP council shops only.
 If approved, parents will receive an email to pick up your GSEP shop certificate at the retail location
indicated on the front of this form.
 There are no substitutions for items at the time of pick up. For example, if you applied for a sash but
want a vest at the time of redemption, you will no longer be able to change this on site so please make your
selection carefully before you submit your application.
 There are no refunds for any items awarded on this application.
Troop Dues
 If approved, your troop leader will receive an ACH deposit for the troop dues; you will be notified by email.
 Troops must have an ACH account set up in order to receive troop dues. Checks are no longer issued.
