2. After you have come up with your design, draw a diagram of the building’s wall
and floor on 11x17 graph paper. All diagrams must be drawn to scale.
3. After your scale drawing is done, lay a sheet of wax paper on top of it. Then, lay
out your craft sticks on top of the drawing and begin assembly.
4. For the tightest hold, apply glue to both surfaces being glued; then press the two
surfaces together. You may find it useful to use clamps, binder clips, clothespins,
etc. to hold glued surfaces together until the glue is completely dry. Your teacher
will not supply these for you.
5. Allow the glue to completely dry before adding more stress or weight to a
structure.
6. Most people begin by constructing the walls, ceilings, floors, and beams for
each story. Once the walls are complete, they add trusses, and then glue the
walls for only a single story together, until they have two or three boxes. Then,
each box is stacked and glued to one another. You may use thread to tie
these together. Your teacher will not supply these for you.
