Summer vacation is probably the happiest period in a student's life. The purpose of the

summer vacation is multifold.

One is relaxation. A student gets fatigued after the end of the annual examination.

He /She need rest to recoup health and vitality.

The second purpose is to tide over the unbearable heat of the summer months.

It’s the quality time to spend with grandparents, uncle / aunt and cousins, get to know

and develop strong bondage with each other. They learn to adjust among themselves,

visit new places and enjoy with them during this vacation.

Little more time to enhance the skills, we have given holiday assignments.

Summer vacation assignments have high educative value as per their age group.

I Food Chart:



Learn and understand the importance of food substances and its nutritive contents.

Create a Food Pyramid possess your own menu which shows the food items which could be



eaten less, moderate and most as per the nutritive content.



Use your food pyramid guide to plan a balanced breakfast, lunch and dinner.



Tabulate the daily food items for any 7 days during your holidays. It should contain morning

breakfast, afternoon lunch and evening supper. Prepare the chart with their food name,

ingredients, source of food & nutritive value. Also you can decorate your chart with the

respective pictures of the food items.

Choose a Vitamin and prepare a Slogan on how to prevent vitamin deficiency.



Complete your preparation with the following note:

II Energy efficiency leads to lower monthly bills and a lower carbon footprint

Analyze the Electricity Board reading from your house and 3 relative houses and prepare a report for

the seven days.

Find out the maximum usage of various electrical appliances using every day in their home.

How is the meter working if the heater / Induction stove/ AC is on? Check it .

Calculate the no.of units consumed every day.

How many units are consumed in a week?

Calculate the bill amount to be paid.
