What is the WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country Subway Junior
Carnival Funding Program?
WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country in partnership with Subway has developed this funding program whereby
WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country affiliated leagues that participate in a Subway Junior Carnival in 2014 will be
eligible to apply for funding of up to $250 to meet costs incurred in participating in the carnival. This program is
in addition to Subway and WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country providing footballs and best player medals directly to
all Subway Junior Carnival organisers.
Why are WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country and Subway funding
these grants?
WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country and Subway recognise the value of junior interleague football for the
development of young people. The development occurs in both physical and social benefits for those that
participate.
It is also recognises that participating in interleague carnivals incurs extra costs on leagues as they offer
opportunities to their junior members to reach their full potential.
Who can apply?
Funding will be available to those WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country affiliated leagues that compete in a 2014
Junior Carnival using Subway in the naming and branding of the event. The league should also provide invoiced
evidence of costs incurred in fielding teams in the Subway Junior Carnival to at least an amount of $250.
What will not be funded?
Leagues that participate in carnivals which are not named and branded as a Subway Junior Carnival.
Leagues that do not provide invoice evidence of costs incurred which are being claimed for.
A single league can apply once only in 2014 regardless of the amount of carnivals it may compete in.
