Working with units of alcohol
Name ____________ Date __________
It is a Friday evening and a group of friends are getting ready for a night out. They decide to set a unit
allowance for each person.
What drinks could they have on their night out, that would not push them over their set unit allowance.
Use the table above to work out which drinks they can have.
For example: Jane sets limit of 2.5 units for herself. Therefore she could have;
1 x vodka and coke (1 unit) and 1 x small glass of white wine (1.5 units) = 2.5 units
Or she could have: 1 x half pint of beer (1 unit) and 1 x bottle of WKD (1.5 units) = 2.5 units
