A Night For Your Marriage
Date 15—Couples Bucket List
From the first time you met your spouse you have been getting to know each other through doing
life together. Shared experiences are what keep relationships fresh and vibrant, and the bonding
stuff that make for great memories.
 What are some of your favorite memories together?
 Favorite date? Best vacation?
 Favorite memory from making your first home together?
Take a few minutes and share them with each other.
Think back to when you were first married and would talk about the life you wanted to build together.
Those early conversations when you dreamed together about all the things you wanted to do. Maybe you
dreamed of starting a family, buying a house, taking a trip, having a big dining room table to host people for
dinner, learning to ski together, or whatever it was! Take a few minutes to remember those conversations,
and maybe you have been together long enough that you have fulfilled some of those dreams…take a
minute to celebrate that together!
Connecting as a couple and having great shared experiences together helps bring you closer and deepen
your bond together. Included in your date packet is a bucket and popsicle sticks. We would like the two of
you to brainstorm different activities, dates, projects, etc that you can realistically do on your budget (or
make it a goal) and write them on the sticks. The hope would be that you could use your “Couple’s Bucket
List” from time to time to give you ideas of things you can do together to connect.
