Gemini Elementary Parent Letter

Dear Parents,

My name is _____________ and I will be the class parent for Mrs.___________’s

class this year. I will be sending out reminders throughout the year for school and

class events. In addition, I will be sending requests for items the teacher or your

child may need for class activities or projects. I may also request items or money

class celebrations and/or teacher recognition.

Whenever items are needed for the class or money is requested for a teacher gift,

please know it is not mandatory. I understand that some families prefer to send in

their own items or have their own traditions. With this in mind, other families like

the idea of pooling money for a gift. These gifts are always signed, “From your

class” and any money paid is kept anonymous.

If you would like to volunteer this year, please let me know. If you have any desire

to go on field trips or assist in the classroom in a frequent manner, please make

sure you are a REGISTERED volunteer with the school district. This requires

fingerprinting and a background check and takes a few weeks to process so the

sooner the better. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact
