SAMPLE REQUEST FOR DONATION LETTER

Dear Family and Friends,

From October 27-31, 2011, I have the opportunity to join a group from my church on a 5 day

mission experience in Haiti. As part of this trip, I would like to ask you to pray about ways in

which you could be involved in this experience.

Would you pray to see if God is leading you to help raise the funds that are needed to send our

group on this mission’s experience? I feel the Lord prompting me to ask for support from the

family and friends God has placed in my life. And even if it is not possible for you to give

anything at this time, I would greatly appreciate your prayers for me and for the rest of the

mission team.

If you do feel led to contribute financially, please note that any checks should be made payable

to Christ Church United Methodist with “Haiti” in the memo line of the check.

We are looking forward to an incredible experience, and to seeing all the ways God will use us

and our work in Haiti. Thank you so much for being a part of my life and for praying for our

team as we travel to Haiti in February.
