AFTER READING THE STORY…

a. Use the Popplet app to create vocabulary webs from the

words on page 252 and 253.

20 minute break

2. Word Work: Do your word sort.

(Skip this step if we do not have words.)

a. Do a blind sort. (No headers for a blind sort.)

b. Do a writing sort. (Write sort on paper. You will turn

this in later.)

3. Independent Reading: Read a book of your choice for 25 minutes.

Write a summary paragraph to retell what you’ve read.

10 minute break

4. Complete your special area assignment for the day.

5. Language - Choose one of the following activities:

A. Complete 2 Language/Reading Study Island lessons.

Go to “My NWEA Learning Map”. Select 2 lessons to complete.

6. Read page 251 to learn about how to build an Adobe house. Use

Safari to further your research. Write down interesting facts

from your reading. (Think about when we used Snapple Fact

Sheets to guide you in fact findings.)

7. Complete 2 Study Island Math Lessons Directions:
