Conditions of a transfer:
Transfers and requests for transfers are subject to Board of Education policies and guidelines, rules, and
procedures adopted by the Superintendent pursuant to board authorization.

As a general rule, students approved for an intra-district transfer request are not eligible
for district transportation. However, you may be eligible for the “Parent Pay” option.
Further information on this option may be obtained from the District Transportation
Department at 413-5205 or you may download the “Parent Pay” option form
from the district website.

Re-application and approval is required prior to each school year.
Granting of a transfer request for one student does not necessarily mean all

students with in that household will be granted transfers.

The District may rescind any transfer granted.
Intradistrict transfers may affect MSHSAA
eligibility for students. Specific questions regarding

MSHSAA eligibility requirements should be directed to the building Activities Director.
The routing of a school transfer request is as follows:

A transfer request should be made to the principal of the school in which the student is enrolled.
The parent/legal guardian initiates the request by completing this form at the sending
school.

The sending school forwards the transfer request to the receiving school. The receiving principal will
review school enrollment and communicate to the Director of Student Programs, any contingency
related to the transfer. The receiving principal forwards the form to Student Programs.
3.
Student Programs notifies the parent/legal guardian in writing of the decision.
The parent/legal guardian of the said student may appeal the decision by submitting a Review of Services Form
to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services within five working days of receiving written notification of
the decision.
