I know that I may deny the charges against me and have a trial. If I deny the charges, the
Constitution and other laws give me these rights:
a)
I have the right to a quick and public trial to a judge. At the trial, the District
Attorney must prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
b)
At the trial, I have a right to face in court and question all of the witnesses who
testify against me.
c)
I can bring witnesses to the trial to testify for me. I can use the Court's subpoena
power to bring witnesses in and it won’t cost me any money to do so.
d)
I can testify if I want to, but the choice is up to me. If I choose not to testify, the
judge cannot and will not use that against me.
e)
I have the right to remain silent throughout these proceedings.
f)
I have the right to have a lawyer help me throughout these proceedings.

other rights listed above. After I admit, the Judge and only the Judge will decide what
the disposition will be, but he/she will listen to suggestions from the Juvenile
