PART II: Value Transitions
Try your hatch marks in a larger area, fill the square on the right with hatch marks that transition from
a light value (lines are spaced apart) to gradually darker values (lines are closer together, preventing
the white of the paper from being seen). I started with a field of light value and then went to the dark
side and added additional hatch marks as I moved to the light side. I repeated this process several
times, until I had achieved the desired contrast and value change.
Repeat the transition process from above in
the shapes below, the inner circle should be
the reverse value transition of the square. Be
sure to work to shape edges.
