Direct Deposit - Sign Up Now!

Dear Provider,

We are asking providers to sign up now for Direct Deposit. With an increase in mail tampering,

identity theft, and lost checks, we are recommending that payments be sent electronically to

each provider. This will ensure that your Food Program reimbursement is sent directly to your

account and not lost in the mail. Please send this form back as soon as possible.

Direct Deposit will help you in many ways:

 It saves you trips to your financial institution.

 It saves time in depositing checks - no long lines to wait in.

 It eliminates the possibility of lost, stolen, or forged checks.

 Your money is deposited faster - it reduces the possibility of overdrafts.

 You get your money deposited to your account even if you're on vacation.

Here's how Direct Deposit works:

On the day we receive the CACFP funds from the Minnesota Dept. of Education (usually the

of the month), a receipt with the number of meals/snacks and amount of reimbursement is

mailed to you. By the time you receive the statement, your money will have been deposited into

your account (usually on the 19

). The amount of the deposit will appear on your bank

statement and you may call your bank's automated phone line to check the date and amount of

the deposit. Most banks post their files in the evening, so your Direct Deposit will most likely be

in your account the next day.

You’ll like the added convenience of having your CACFP reimbursement automatically

deposited for you. Direct Deposit is safe, convenient and easy. To take advantage of this

service, complete the authorization form on the back and return it to the MLFCCA office right

away. Don't delay!
