LAYAWAY CONTRACT

Unique Japan is pleased to accommodate purchases of Japanese swords and other products through our

layaway plan.

General Terms

A minimum 20% non-refundable deposit is required on any purchase

Customers will be granted a 40-day interest free period

Outstanding balance to be paid in monthly or bi-monthly payments within 1 year

Please refer to the payment plan as provided by Unique Japan for schedule of payments

Payments:

Initial deposit payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer or in cash

Subsequent payments to Unique Japan can be made by direct bank transfer only in Japanese Yen

A renewed statement showing balance and amount due will be provided

All bank transfer fees to be paid by the customer

Customer must notify Unique Japan by email after each payment is made

Cancellations or Inactive accounts:

If no payments are received within a 90-day period, your account with Unique Japan becomes

inactive and the piece in layaway will be put back on the market

Customers will receive a credit for payments made beyond the 20% deposit in the form of in-store

credit that can be used for purchases on . No cash refunds.

20% deposit on Layaway is non-refundable. Refunds of payments will be via in-store credit only.

Shipping + Insurance Fees

Once final payment is made your package will be sent to you or shipped to a destination provided

within approximately 30-45 days. This time frame is needed to prepare appropriate registration

papers, engraving, translations and other required documentation.

Local shipping and international shipping fees apply

Insurance fees will apply for international shipments and will be communicated to the customer if

required
