Grading Option. A Directed Research project can be graded on the H/P/R/F or Mandatory P/R/F system. A student
cannot receive a grade on the H/P/R/F system for more than eight units of independent research (Directed Research,
Senior Thesis, Directed Writing, and/or Research Track). Any units taken in excess of eight will be graded on a
Mandatory P/R/F system.
