PARENTAL NOTIFICATION FORM

Dear Parents and students,

Each year we have a mandatory school-wide Science Fair at Harmony Schools. This year Science Fair will

be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011.

This week, your child will receive a science fair booklet. The booklet provides information regarding the

requirements and guidelines that need to be followed.

All Harmony School of Nature& Athletics students are required to prepare a Science Fair Project.Students

will also receive credit from their English, Language, Computer, and Art teachers.The science grade of

students who do not complete a project will be affected severely for each grading period.

Science Fair Project Grading Policy Students will receive four project grades for their exhibits/projects

which will determine the majority(% 30) of 1

, 3

and 4

Report Card grades in Science class.

Please check the deadlines of each step of the Science Fair Project carefully. Students are highly

encouraged to submit their assignments before these deadlines. This way they will have a good chance

to make improvements if something is missing or needs fine tuning. Informative Science Fair Meeting for

Parents(with RSVP) is scheduled as following:

•For 6

grade parents: Thursday, September 23 between 6:00pm and 7:15pm.

•For 5

and 8

grade parents: Friday, September 24 between 6:00pm and

7:15pm.

We will try to help each student individually, but the ultimate responsibility belongs to students. This copy

is to be turned in Science Teacher.

Please fill out this form and have your child return this sheet by Wednesday, September 15,

to his/her science teacher.
