2) Violin chords. In this exercise you will learn about violin chords. The standard tuning
scheme for a violin is G3-D4-A4-E5. Note that all the strings are 7 semitones apart (a fifth).
Also note in the picture below that the violin bridge is curved, so the bow only touches two
strings at a time. Therefore, violin chords consist of two notes and must be on neighboring
strings. There are no frets on a violin, but they are drawn in to indicate the finger positions.

Start with the tonic.
Find the lowest string that allows you to play the tonic.
The next string up then plays either the third or the
