Goal:

Along with the daily child care provided, our goal for your child is the ability to identify

basic shapes and colors, count and understand numbers 1 through 10, and identify letters in

the alphabet. We also will be working on positive behaviors, manners, and potty training.

DAILY SCHEDULE:

Times may vary based on weather, activity planned, and students’ behavior!

6:00am…

Joey classroom opens- 3 to 4 choices of activities are available while students socialize

8:00-8:20am… All hands are washed and breakfast is served to joey students in the gym

8:20-8:40am… Story time + restroom breaks + student share session

9:00am…

Wiggle time, minimum of 20 minutes (dancing, yoga, gym games, gross motor skills)

9:25am… Circle time- children sit/stand together while teacher instructs (songs, counting &

numbers, social cues, our world’s culture and holidays, weather, calendar, memorization,

patterns, birthdays, full names, etc.)

9:45am…

Center rotation: Students are split into small groups at various activities for 15-20

minutes and then rotate to a new area. Activities include cutting, gluing, puzzles, play-doh, I Spy,

tracing & writing letters & numbers, painting, being creative, science experiments, & math.

11:00am… All hands are washed and lunch is eaten in the gymnasium

11:30am… Restroom break and wash hands/face. Story time and lullaby music occurs

before lights are turned off.

12:00… Nap time = lights out. All students must rest

1:00-2:00… Gymnasium opens with activities for students that have rested/slept

2:00… Restroom break, wash hands and faces. Immediately followed by afternoon snack

and a second session of wiggle time (minimum of 20 mins)

2:30/2:45… Review morning circle time & focus of the week

3:30-5:00… Afternoon center rotation

5:00-6:00… Joey & Cub classes combine while teachers clean classrooms
