H. To discharge the personal representative from further claims or demands of interested persons and
to close administration of the estate.

The petition may be filed by the personal representative at any time and by an interested person after one year from the date of
appointment of the original personal representative. See 18-A MRSA § 1-201 (20) for definition of interested person,
This request may not be made in an informal estate administration without converting it to a formal one. See 18-A MRSA § 3-1002.
No final account will be allowed until the Court makes a determination that the Maine Inheritance Tax has been paid or is not owing.
