WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY

We are pleased to welcome you into our family here at Sunny Skies and thank you for having chosen us to

provide your child with care and education that will benefit your family for a lifetime to come. As with

anything new, it will probably take some time for the family to be fully integrated to the program, rest assured

that all families go through this transition phase and all go on to have successful school years with us.

Children will cry, refuse to eat and sleep and often ask their parents to stay home when they first start the

program, our staff is very familiar with the way children feel and do their very best to make the children feel

loved, welcomed and integrated. No amount of crying will deter us from making your child’s day better. We

have also learned over the years that positive reinforcement works miracles in having tear-free days, the more

confident the whole family feels of their decision to become part of the Sunny Skies family the faster the child

will feel good about coming to school.

We take every measure to ensure your child’s well being and safety under our care. As a security measure, we

have a uniform policy in place. It helps us identify your child in the park as one of our students and also keeps

the class from getting distracted with animated characters on clothing. We also do not need anything but

blankets and extra clothes to come from the child’s home in order to avoid cross-contamination, as we have

children who are extremely allergic to some common food items and upset children over broken/lost toys.

The typical day at Sunny Skies include three meals, a naptime and forty-five minute classes (Spanish, music,

art, exercise, reading and writing workshops) that enrich your child’s early development while attending school

here as well as outdoor playtime and area play inside the classroom. Math, Science and History complete the

academic day at Sunny Skies Preschool, making for a fun, varied, educational time.
