Pin your ears, wings and feet to the owl face. Stitch them in place by
sewing all the way around the owl face using a ¼ inch or 7mm seam
allowance.

Take one of your large pieces of Minky, lay it down so that the pile is
running downward. Pin your owl body in place (use diagram below as
guide), tucking the ¼ inch or 7mm seam allowance as you go. Stitch
the body down 1/8 inch or 4mm from the edge. Mark the position of
the button with a pin.
From your scraps of Minky cut a strip that measures 10cm x 3cm. Fold
the strip into thirds hiding one of the raw edges. Topstitch the visible
raw edge down. Fold this piece in half to create a loop. Find the centre
of the short side of your blanket, closest to the owl and stitch it down.
Stitch the button into place.
10 Take your two large pieces of Minky and pin right sides
together. Cut all 4 corners back to a curve. Stitch around
the edges using a ¼ inch or 7mm seam allowance, ensuring
you leave a gap on one on the small sides. Turn your blanket
through and top stitch around the edges, sewing the
opening shut as you go.
