This permit allows a truck or truck tractor registered and licensed in another state for a gross weight of more than 12,000 pounds
to operate in Kansas in intrastate commerce for a period not to exceed 72 hours from time of issuance. Fee: $26.00

EMONSTRATION
This permit allows a licensed dealer from Kansas or a state contiguous to Kansas to demonstrate a truck or truck tractor under
actual working conditions, either interstate or intrastate, by a perspective buyer for a period not to exceed 72 hours from time of
issuance. Fee: $26.00
Only one permit can be issued per vehicle for the same perspective buyer.

EGISTRATION
This permit allows a truck or truck tractor that is registered as LOCAL in Kansas to operate beyond the local radius authorized by
the registration for a period not to exceed 72 hour from time of issuance. This permit does not authorize leaving Kansas. Fee:
$26.00
Limited to 10 permits per vehicle for a 12-month period.
15 DAYS DEALER DEMONSTRATION PERMIT KSA 8-143g
This permit allows a licensed dealer from Kansas or a state contiguous to Kansas to demonstrate a truck or truck tractor under actual
working conditions, either interstate or intrastate, by a perspective buyer for a period not to exceed 15 days from date of issuance.
Fee: $100.00
Only one permit can be issued per vehicle for the same perspective buyer.
ONE (1) DAY PERMIT KSA 8-198
This permit is used to operate a vehicle from its present location directly to the vehicle inspection station and back. Vehicle may be
driven from the inspection station to the County Treasurer's office for registration purposes. Fee: $1.00
Valid for only one (1) day/24-hours from time of issuance. More than one permit may be issued for the same vehicle, but only one
permit per 24-hour period.

EMPORARY
EGISTRATION
This permit allows a Kansas resident or out-of-state resident buying a vehicle from a Kansas dealer or resident to operate the
vehicle for a period of time not to exceed 30 days from date of purchase of the vehicle (notary date). This permit is not
renewable/only one (1) permit shall be issued. If the permit is lost, stolen or mutilated, a replacement permit may be purchased
with the same expiration date as the original permit. Fee: $5.25
The State of Kansas will not be responsible for the validity of the temporary registration while the vehicle is operated in another
state.
Any truck or truck tractor and any type of trailer or semi-trailer may operate under laden conditions for only 48 hours after the
issuance of this permit. (KSA 8-2409)

for a period not to exceed 30 days from date of issuance. Fee: $26.00. Limited to 6 permits per vehicle for a 12-month period.

60 DAY FOREIGN HARVEST PERMIT KSA 8-143k
This permit allows a truck or truck tractor registered and licensed in another state and engaged in farm custom harvesting operations
to operate in Kansas in intrastate commerce for a period not to exceed 60 days from date of issuance. Fee: $26.00 or One-Sixth of
the annual fee.
