Electrical work shall not be started until the application for permit has been filed. All installations shall be in conformance

with the State of Michigan Code. NO WORK SHALL BE COVERED OR CONCEALED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED.

When ready for inspection call the electrical inspector providing as much advance notice as possible.

FINAL INPSECTION ARE REQUIRED of all installations except as noted below:

1. Mobile home without added garage or additions.

2. Mobile home placed in mobile home park.

3. Other exceptions as needed by inspector.

EXPIRATION OF PERMIT:

A permit remains valid as long as work is progressing and inspections are requested and conducted. A permit shall become

invalid if the authorized work is not commenced within six (6) months. A PERMIT SHALL BE CANCELLED WHEN NO

INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED AND CONDUCTED WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF THE ISSUED DATE OR THE DATE OF

LAST INSPECTION.

FEE CLARIFICATIONS:

Mobile home unit site:

When installing a site service in a park, the permit must include the application fee, service, plus the number of park sited.

When setting a HUD Mobile home in a park the permit must include the application fee plus a feeder. This shall be done

by only a licensed electrical contractor.

When setting a HUD Mobile home or pre-manufactured on private property, the permit must include the application fee,

service, and feeder.

PLAN REVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

Plans are required for all building types and shall be prepared by or under the direct supervision of an architect or engineer,

except:

1. When work is completed by a government sub-division or state agency and costs do not exceed $15,000.00.

2. Other exceptions as noted by building inspector.
