Important Information.
Michigan’s home heating credit is funded
by federal Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Grants. Your credit may be
larger or smaller than the credit you received last year because the amount of money
Michigan receives from this grant varies every year. For general information visit
Direct Deposit.
If you are eligible to receive a check for your home heating
credit claim, you may request that it be deposited directly into your account at a financial
institution by filing a Direct Deposit of Refund (3174). See page 13 of this booklet.
Claimants receiving heat drafts are not eligible for Direct Deposit.
