Alphabet

The traditional Spanish alphabet incorporates 4 additional letters compared to the English

alphabet. However, since the late 1990’s some of these letters are no longer recognized. We

addressed all 30 to ensure that students understand the sounds that they will encounter for any

given letter.

Look at the following Spanish letters and try to decipher what is being spelled:

pay – ele – oo – eme – ah

Did you get the word pluma? This is the Spanish word for pen.

Take this same idea and try to figure out the words below.
