2. The facts supporting this belief are as follows:
On May 27, 2015, police and emergency personnel arrived at 7XX Doddridge, outside of Playboy
Cappuccino Lounge, at approximately 9:45 pm. At the scene, they found the victim, R.C., lying in the
street. R.C. was pronounced deceased at the scene. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head. During
an interview with a witness, I learned that the defendant, Eugene Johnson and the victim arranged to
meet in order for the defendants to purchase marijuana. During the encounter, the defendant displayed
and pointed a firearm at R.C.. The defendant then threatened the victim and attempted to steal the
marijuana. Subsequently, the defendant shot R.C. in the head. I have been informed that the defendant
is a previously convicted felon.
