Grade (Tab #4)
Assignment Overview
• Your main homework assignment for this class is to read 3-4 nights per week and record your pages on
a reading log. These reading logs are due at the end of each month.
• This quarter, you will complete a project on one of the books you have read this year.
Project Options

You must have the book in your possession.
• Your book talk must be at least 3 minutes, with a maximum of 10 minutes. The speech should do all of
the following:

Discuss why you selected the book.
-
Give a basic summary that covers what the book is about. Include specifics to prove you read the
book.
-
Explain who you would recommend the book to.
-
Read a quote or short passage from the book.

Do not spoil the book in a book talk; the idea is to get the reader interested in the book.

able to complete.
-
There are many versions of One-Pagers, with different questions on different versions. You will

with Miss Mathers.
