Dear Donation Seekers:

Thank you for your interest in a donation from Whole Foods Market! We ask that you look over the following

criteria before submitting your request.

Your organization or event must be located within Santa Cruz or nearby vicinity. If it isn’t, please contact

the Whole Foods Market nearest to the location of the event.

The application MUST be received at least 45 days before the event date and “pick up” date in order

to be considered. If you have missed this deadline, please consider us for a future donation.

All applications are reviewed on a first-come-first serve basis. Because the donations budget is limited,

early submission of your application is strongly recommended.

A copy of Page 1 of your IRS Determination Letter is required. No other form can be accepted as

proof of 501c3 status. The application will not be considered without this letter.

Whole Foods Market has specific guidelines for the organizations we are able to support with donations. In

addition to being a non-profit, you must fall into one of these categories:



Environmental Preservation



Health and Wellness



Hunger Relief



Education

Because Whole Foods Market believes in being an active community member, requests from other civic

and charitable groups will be considered if the organization is in the immediate vicinity of a store location,

meets our core values and funding is available.

Whole Foods Market cannot make donations to political organizations, religious organizations, for-profit

organizations, individuals, individuals seeking pledges, or causes outside our local Santa Cruz community.

Requests by phone are not accepted.

We do not provide cash donations.

Past support of an organization or event is not a guarantee of future support.

10. Please do not send multiple requests for the same organization, cause or event.

Although we would like to support every worthwhile cause, due to the volume of applications we receive it is

not possible for Whole Foods Market to fulfill or respond to every request. We will contact your organization

if they will be receiving a donation.
