not eligible to apply for Probationary Reinstatement but they may apply for Full Reinstatement at the
twenty (20) day mark.
Students who fail two or more courses may appeal their Academic Probation for Full Reinstatement
twenty (20) school days from the end of the quarter during which the failure occurred. This appeal must
be made in writing to the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs. In order for the Academic Probation
to be lifted the student must be passing all of their courses and return to participation at the discretion
of the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs. Students who are deemed eligible will be notified and can
return to normal participation in Athletics and Activities. Students must be in good academic, discipline
and tuition standing to participate in any extracurricular activity. This includes but is not limited to
dances, proms, sports, clubs, school shows and activities.
B. Athletic Fee
An athletic fee is charged for students who participate in a Freshman, Junior Varsity or Varsity level of
Competition within the Athletic Department. The Athletic Fee is as follows:
$160.00 for the First Sport Played
$135.00 for the Second Sport Played
$85.00 for the Third Sport Played
The Athletic Fee helps to pay some of the costs associated with the sports, including but not limited to:
transportation, equipment, facility rental, official’s expenses and field maintenance.
The Athletic Fee must be paid prior to the start of the regular season. If the fee has not been paid
before the start of the regular season, the student athlete will not be able to participate in games or
practices until the fee is paid. If the student athlete is cut or unable to play, he/she will have the fee
applied to his or her tuition within the first week of the start of the sport season. If a student athlete is
on the roster of players on file with the Athletic Director in the beginning of the season, he or she is
required to pay the athletic fee, even if the athlete quits the team. If the athlete does not pay the
Athletic Fee, it will be applied to the student’s tuition account and the student will not be permitted to
tryout for another sport until the fee is paid.
Section III - Coach/Parents/Participants
A. Coaches have the authority over who becomes a member of the team, which students play, and
who is removed from the team. Coaching strategy is determined by the coaching staff.
Accepting a position on a team includes acceptance of these procedures by both the student
and the parent/guardian. Thus, these issues are not open to parent/coach discussion.
B. Coach, athlete, parent meetings are encouraged to resolve any other issues creating concern or
dissatisfaction. Such meetings must be arranged at a mutually acceptable time and place.
C. Any discussion between a coach and a parent should be conducted in a calm, non-threatening
manner, or the discussion should be immediately terminated to be continued only by
appointment with the Athletic Director
D. Coaches will fulfill all the duties and responsibilities mandated by their contract and listed in the
Athletic Coaches Handbook
E. Athletes will ride the school provided transportation to and from the athletic contest. Athletes
are responsible for any missed assignments or notes due to an early dismissal or class time that
is missed.
