Discussion of Theory:

Write three paragraphs (5-8 sentences per paragraph.

1. 1. First Paragraph

a) Topic sentence – predicts the contents of the paragraph

b) Describe the main topic/concept and relate it to the purpose of the lab.

2. 2. Second Paragraph

a) Discuss the overall result of the experiment.

b) Describe 2 sources of error that relate to the procedure or equipment .

3. 3. Third Paragraph

a) Describe what you learned from the experiment. This may be directly

related to the experiment, or indirectly related to something in your

own experience.

b) Give an example related to the Lab purpose and applied in your daily life.

Requirements for the Lab Report

1. Must have a colorful cover page stating the Lab Title in addition to your name,

period and date

All lab reports must be typed using font 12, double spaced, or neatly hand printed in

ink.

Each person is responsible for writing their own lab report.

How To Make Up a Lab and the Report.

1. 1. You can make up a lab report only if your absence was excused.

2. 2. You will do a research report on the topic being examined in the lab.

a. a. You will need to use any appropriate section from the textbook, magazine

articles and/ or internet sources as references .

A minimum of 3 references are required.

b. b. You will type a minimum three page report that is double spaced, font

Times New Roman, font size 12.

c. c. You will need a complete bibliography of the 3 references.

3. You have one week after you get back to turn in this report to me.
