HOLIDAYS
You will be allowed ....................... days paid holiday per year. In the first or final year of service the employee
will be entitled to holidays on a pro rata basis.
Notes for information
Nannies should be awarded at least 20 days annual holiday plus Bank Holidays. Holidays taken with
the family are not to be considered as part of your nannies annual leave. Any statutory bank holidays
worked should be paid at double time or double time off in lieu.
Your nanny should be paid in your absence, for example, if you go away on holiday and do not wish
her to join you, she remains in your employ. Also if you are going away for some time, your nanny
should be paid a retainer.
Paid compensation is not normally given for holidays not actually taken. Holidays may only be carried
into the next year with the express permission of the employer.

SICKNESS
The employer will administer the Government SSP scheme in accordance with legislation.
After 8 weeks of employment, the employer will pay the employee full pay for a period of ............... weeks,

TERMINATION
In the first 4 weeks of employment, one weeks notice is required on either side.
After 4 weeks continuous service, either the employee or employer may terminate this contract by giving

CONFIDENTUALITY
It is a condition of employment hat now and at all times in the future, save as may be lawfully required, the
employee shall keep the affairs and concerns of the house holder and it’s transactions and business
confidential.

The employer does not run a pension scheme.
