DISCIPLINE
Reasons which might give rise to the need for disciplinary measures include the following:
a) Causing a disruptive influence in the household
b) Job incompetence
c) Unsatisfactory standard of dress or appearance
d) Conduct outside working hours prejudicial to the interest or reputation to the employer
e) Unreliability in time keeping or attendance
f) Failure to comply with instructions and procedures, for example being unable to drive due to driving
ban
g) Breech of confidentiality clause
In the event of the need to take disciplinary action, the procedure will be:
Firstly
- Oral warning
Secondly
- Written warning
Thirdly
- Dismissal
The nanny should have a right to appeal to an agreed third party. (See grievances below).
Reasoned for summary dismissal include the following
a) Child Abuse
b) Drunkenness
c) Illegal drug taking
d) Theft
GRIEVANCES
If the employee has any grievances against the employer, she has the right to seek advice from( Voice, family
solicitor, nanny agency etc).
