Verbos
You can identify verbs in Spanish just by looking at their endings. Remember verbs are action words that
end in “ar”, “er”, and “ir”. When a verb has its “ar”, “er”, or “ir” ending it is in its infinitive form. The infinitive
form states what the action is but not who is doing the action.
For example:
Nadar
- to swim
Comer- to eat
Escribir- to write
When we want to say who is doing the action we then have to conjugate the verb by changing the
“ar”, “er”, or “ir” ending according to the person performing the action. Look at the conjugation chart below.
