GLC2O7 – Career Studies
Interest Sorter
Name: ________________________________________________ Date: ________________
Your interests say a lot about you. The skills you use, and the things you like to do provide
valuable clues towards understanding yourself better. In addition to gaining insight into who you
are, these also give clues to what career direction may be right for you.
Read over the following statements, and circle the ones that suit you best. Remember that there
are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers – just the ones that are ‘right’ for you. When you’re done this
list, transfer the numbers you circle to the table on the back to see which interest category fits
you. The one with the most matches is your dominant category; you will have matches in other
categories. Write down possible occupations that fit these types of interests. Good Luck!
