It’s official and stamped, your school practicum is
finished. Celebrate a job very well done!
Here are a few things to help you survive your SLP
career:
You can keep things colorful with your
multicolored
pens.
It’s great to have some fun with your workJ
You can use your
paperclips
to hold it all together when
everything feels like things just might fall apart (not
that this ever happens)!
You can use the
glitter glue
to make your lessons continue
to sparkle and shine!
The
foam letters
will help you practice letters and
sounds, letters and sounds, and even more letters and
sounds.
When things get sticky, the
duct tape
will remind you
that you can hold those sticky situations together (no
problem!)J
The
notebook
is a great place to keep notes on funny
things that happen in your daily walk as a SLP. I wrote a
few from your days here with me to get you startedJ
Finally, the
star post-its
are to remind you that you are a
star SLP!! J J J
My final words of advice: Never ever forget to show
your clients that you care about them as a person. It’s
something I remind myself of frequently and continues to
help me in my journey as a SLP.
