 Youth Entrepreneurship Award

This award will recognize young entrepreneurs who have made exceptional achievements for their

age; and have demonstrated innovation, profitability, and business excellence. They will be able to

provide details of their journey to success including overcoming obstacles and identifying new

opportunities. This entrepreneur should be an inspiration for other young entrepreneurs.

 Social and Cultural innovations

This award under this category will be presented to young people who contribute in a cultural field,

to fostering peace and dialogue; and have helped to solve social problems or effecting social change

in their communities. This innovator will be able to amply demonstrate that they have created a

sustainable innovation that is geared towards creating social change with strong examples of

positive impact and success. The aim of the Award is not only to reward past contributions but to

also encourage and support continued efforts.

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR INNOVATION / INITIATIVE:

 One Page non-technical Summary of the innovation providing a general explanation of the

innovation ( Not more than 250 words)

include technical information that will be reviewed. Describe the intellectual achievement

(the thought process, ingenious thinking and/or experiments to conceive the innovation) and

what is unique and original about the innovation; if the innovation is patented, provide a

complete copy of the patent. If a patent has been applied for and has not been issued yet,

include a complete copy of the patent application.

 Involvement of others; Individuals involved in Conceiving, Developing and

Applying/Marketing the Innovation/invention ( This section provides the opportunity for

you/nominee to acknowledge the work and assistance of other individuals or companies

who assisted you or the nominee in your or his/her achievement)

Innovation or business and are qualified to comment on the Success of your initiative

 One-page biography of yourself/Nominee

 Statement addressing economic, social, and environmental impact.

 A two to three page concise summary of the accomplishments that illustrates why

you/nominee should be considered for the UN-Habitat Youth Innovation and

Entrepreneurship Award.
