Search Committee Guidance
•
Committee size: at least 4-6 faculty for NTE search; at least 6-8 faculty for a tenure track search
•
For tenure track searches, the search committee chair must be tenured AND two thirds of the committee should be tenured
•
Two thirds of the committee should hold a rank at least as high as the highest rank you are proposing to hire
•
At least one third of the committee should be female
•
Strive for a diverse committee in terms of race/ethnicity and representation from departments outside your own
