EU citizens can submit self-certifications according to art. 46, 47 and 19 of D.P.R. n. 445/2000.
Extra EU citizens, residing legally in Italy, may provide self-certifications according to art. 46 and 47 of D.P.R. n. 445/2000
(only with reference to situations, personal qualities and facts which can be certified or attested by Italian public bodies).
According to art. 47 of D.P.R. n. 445/2000, citizens, under their responsability, are allowed to use self-declaration affidavit
instead of affidavit attested by a public officer to declare personal states, facts and qualifications directly known to them.
Moreover, the self-declaration affidavit can also concern other people of which the person making the declaration has direct
knowledge.
It can also be used to declare the conformity to the original of the copy of a document issued by a public administration, of a
publication or of an academic qualification (art. 19 of the D.P.R. 445/2000).
(e.g.: “I declare that the attached copy of the following qualification/publication/… comply with the original”: Please provide
detailed information about any qualification/publication/… ).
