In addition to our behavior chart, we have several other positive

reinforcement systems within the classroom. As a class-wide incentive, the students

will work together to fill a jar with beads. Each time the students are “caught” doing

something good; they will be able to add a bead to the jar. Once the jar is filled, the

class will take a vote on their prize.

We also use an incentive system called “Table Tallies.” Each week, your child will

work together cooperatively with the other students at their table to make

appropriate choices. Throughout the week, each table will earn tallies for sharing,

working quietly, and following the classroom rules. Each Friday afternoon we will count

tallies. The table with the most tallies will be able to choose a prize from our classroom

prize box.
